Paris Plages, the season is open!

Paris Plages, the season is open!

With the return of summer comes the much-anticipated Paris Plages (Paris Beaches), now without sand. From July 7th to September 2nd, 2018 you can join in with the fun on the Voie Georges Pompidou, the Parvis de l'Hotel de Ville, the Bassin de la Villette and the Left Bank. Grab your towels and let's go!

A beach without sand can be fun, too

Don’t expect sand this year, in the interests of the environment it’s not being shipped in this year. But otherwise it’s Paris Plages as usual; seaside resort pleasures in the heart of the capital! This celebration of the sunshine season offers you pleasant moments of relaxation on the Voie Pompidou, sports or cultural activities on the Parvis de l'Hotel de Ville and seaside pleasures in the Bassin de la Villette. New this year is the installation of Paris Plages on the Left Bank of the Seine (Port de Solferino and Invalides). Dozens of deckchairs and other essential chillout accessories such as water misters, picnic tables, refreshment stalls, ice-cream parlours and much more await you right up to the Pont Alexandre III!

Activities and fun-packed moments for everyone

Paris Plages is a great opportunity to make new friends and participate in beach volleyball tournaments, table football, tai chi, dance workshops, water polo ganes, rowing, swimming, pedalo rides and other forms of exercise. Unless, of course, you prefer to take it easy by soaking up the sunshine as palm trees sway and enjoy the priceless moments of tranquillity offered by a free library in a lawn and palm atmosphere. The Bassin de la Villette is transformed into a true seaside resort. Take advantage of the floating swimming pools located by the Quai de Loire and elsewhere. These are open every day from 11:00 to 21:00, free of charge. Book your stay in the Hotels du Pré and enjoy Paris Plages this summer!
